How to submit your metrics

Metrics are texted in and your dashboard is updated hourly. The format is keyword/metric. For example:

Diet yes

Activity Tracking

Activity metrics are based on the concept of training zones.

Zone 1 – Light activity/exercise which has a minimal impact on heart rate. Walking falls into this category.

Zone 2 – Moderate intensity exercise which a noticeable impact on heart rate. Breathing becomes heavier, but you can still talk without gasping for air. Most structured exercise will fall into this category.

Zone 3 – Intense exercise which has a maximal impact on your heart rate.

Text your activity metrics in the following format:

  • Zone1 20
  • Zone2 10
  • Zone3 5

These would be examples for 20 minutes in Zone 1, 10 minutes in Zone 2, and 5 minutes in Zone3.

Relaxation

Taking time to relax throughout the day plays an important role in overall health and well being. Text in your relaxation time like so:

  • Relaxation 30

Daily Food Choices

This metric is yea/no. Answer yes if you made healthy food choices throughout the day.

  • Diet Yes

Sleep Quality

This metric is a yes/no. Answer yes if you got 7 hours or more of sleep

  • Sleep Yes

Body Weight Tracking

Body weight should be submitted once a week. If submitted more than once in a week, the latest version submitted will be recorded. You can round up or submit tenths of a pound if you choose to. For example 200 or 200.5 lbs.

Daily Food Logging

For your own records and accountability, pictures of your meals can be texted. Please text as you eat throughout the day. The time recorded for each meal will be the time it was texted in. You will see a food-log directory inside your weekly tracking folder. Logs will be stored inside a daily directory. Similar to metric collection, food logs are updated every hour throughout the day.
